In an attempt to enhance recruiting and retention, WIAA and WOA have jointly approved a substantial game fee increase of $20.00 per game per official with the increase being phased in over the next 3 school years.

WIAA and WOA agreed that these game fee increases will go directly and timely (through the recent implementation of ArbiterPay) into officials pockets. None of the money being allocated by WIAA schools will be used to increase administration fees at local or WOA levels.

The game fee increase is front-loaded with $15.00 per game per official in the 2022-2023 school year. In 2023-24, there will be a $2.00 per official increase, and there will be a $3.00 per official increase in 2024-25.

Translating this to Fall 2022 only, the new games fees will be:

Varsity: $69.25 + $18.00 mileage = $87.25.

Sub-varsity: $57.75 + $18.00 mileage = $75.75.

MS/JH: $51.50 + $18.00 mileage = $69.50

As a reminder, this increase pertains to “school” games only. Our youth and parochial partners will negotiate future game fees on a different pay scale.
